Luke is a fast, physical and fluid safety prospect with very impressive overall measurables and skill-set. He’s a productive ball-hawk who flashes the range of free safety and closing burst of an outside linebacker. Has good height and strong, long, well-built frame. Very athletic and is a standout on both sides of the ball. Projects best as a college strong safety but has the movement skills of a free and could play there as a well. A real scheme versatile defensive back. Makes quick, accurate reads and has a quick first step. Flashes great explosion out of his pedal and plant and drive burst. Transitions sharply with little wasted motion. Direct out of his breaks and pursues to the football with great angles and closing speed. This guy brings the wood and generates good velocity in the short-area. Limits yards after contact with his solid contact and is a real hitter who can create turnovers or set the temp with his high impact collisions. Excels in deep coverage as well using his great burst and range to get off the hash and over the top of routes to make plays on the football. Flashes good leaping and ball skills. Aggressive on run support and will make plays sideline-to-sideline. Gets over the trash, can change direction sharply on pursuit and closes strong and is a solid tackler. When projecting for the next level, Luke is  very productive closing on the football in front of him in zone schemes as well as flipping his hips and running vertically with slots in man-to-man. Has no difficulty mirroring as well and matching up in space. Overall, Luke is an impressive safety prospect with good range, closing speed and run support skills. Should be a major contributor on special teams as well.
