Offensive Scouting Report
Troy comes across as an O-line prospect who is going to line up, work to do the right things and in the process try and dish out some punishment. He is an offensive guard who shows valuable versatility by also taking reps at defensive tackle. As a guard he has excellent size with a lengthy frame that looks capable of supporting more good mass with time in a college weight program and he should be able to easily play well over 290- 300 pounds. He displays good flexibility working out of a three-point stance. He is a physical and productive run blocker. He flashes the ability to fire out low, gain leverage and get good hip roll on contact. When he does that, he can easily drive a defender off the ball. He has good placement, he also does a good job of getting hands on. He moves well and is agile enough to be productive blocking in space and he takes advantage of good angles. He shows nastiness as a blocker and looks to finish opponents when he can. He is a good pass blocker who works to try and execute good technique. He sets quickly, kicks back with good balance and is able to “pound the post” and recover when rushers try and come inside. He plays with good bend and can anchor. He displays the ability to deliver a punch and works to re-route his hands to gain position. Troy is simply a great player who is going to go hard, work to cover his bases, and battle to get the job done. He is capable of doing just that — getting the job done.
