Silas is a gifted two-way player with a good blend of instincts, feet, speed and quickness. He shows the ability to turn and run without losing too much in transition for a corner. Does a terrific job of pressing receivers and taking them out of their routes. Shows fluid hips and is athletic enough to recover from mistakes. Has very good closing burst when the ball is in the air. Can run with the receivers downfield. He will quickly make up for a lot of mistakes or false steps he takes. Has fluid change-of-direction skills for a corner. Can mirror and jam. Feet are always moving and he will flip his hips and drive to the WR’s hip with great quickness. Silas has sound ball skills, good hands and leaping ability. He has a lot of big play flair and will make plays with the ball in his hands after an interception or even as a return specialist. He will surprise you with his willingness and feistiness in run support. He can also be a solid tackler. On offense, he can impact a game out of the backfield or in the passing game. Is a smooth gliding type runner with vision to exploit cutback lanes and the lateral agility to avoid taking shots in-line. Can jump cut and squirt through creases to reach the second level. Silas is a player that plays with terrific confidence and passion and he knows he is good. Will take risks on defense because he is gifted and likes the challenge of making plays. We feel Silas will see continue to grow and develop and has the ability to see the field early in high school and has the upside to become an excellent player. LOOK OUT COACHES THIS KID CAN PLAY FOOTBALL…
