Jesse has the size and speed measurables that make him a coveted running back prospect at the next level. Has good bulk on a compact, sturdy frame and the great speed and acceleration to take it the distance on any carry. Plays in an open offense that likes to get him outside. Patient in letting his blocks develop off-tackle. Quick to stretch and turn the corner. Shows very good vision and cutback ability. Is able to sharply slice back through the smaller in-line creases and accelerate quickly out of his cut in tight spaces. Displays very good feet, lateral quickness and change-of-direction skill. Difficult to line up in the hole; gears down little redirecting and can stop-start on a dime. Is a balanced cutter and flashes great initial burst and explosion when he plants his foot in the ground and gets North. Runs with a lean and behind his pads. Demonstrates good upper-body strength running through high arm tackles. Can be difficult to wrap up when his compact, lower based frame gains momentum through the second level. Keeps his legs churning on contact. Hands and route running are polished offering his future offensive coordinator good flexibility to create mismatches with his speed. Has the frame to carry the load, continue earning yards after contact and develop into an every-down workhorse if needed. Jesse is an elusive in an explosive package. Should see early time as a returner and is a great athletic addition.
