Ethan is an active, instinctive prospect demonstrating the ability to get to the football. Has the size and athleticism for either the inside or outside linebacker position at the major level of competition. Ethan possesses both playing speed and explosion; his open field tackling skills should prove beneficial as a special team’s coverage player. Shows good flexibility, balance and agility; does a good job with key and diagnosis skills against the run. This guy flashes the ability to play downhill and work through traffic; flashes the playing strength to shed blockers and we also see the fluid movement necessary to avoid contact when working to the ball. Does a good job scraping off the edge; displays good overall pursuit habits. His major production against the pass is a result from his pass rush production; demonstrates good blitz timing; can force up the middle or off the edge displaying quick hands and good upper body playing strength when taking on blockers; is capable of pressuring the quarterback with steady closing quickness. This guy is a tough customer; plays with the motor and intensity necessary to consistently get around the football and make plays. Ethan’s size, athleticism and ability are the positives required for success at the next level of competition.
