Drew is a wonderful athlete with a terrific blend of size, speed and fluid change-of-direction. He is a legitimate two-way option for the next level and as many plays as he makes on offense, it is more difficult to find corners especially tall ones. He has great hands and ball skills and is a natural playmaker. Offensively he is sleak and smooth. He has good leaping ability and flashes the ability to catch the ball at its highest point. Shows good body control and does a nice job of adjusting to the ball while it’s in the air. He adjusts to the deep ball extremely well and shows the ability to consistently catch the ball thrown over his shoulder and over his head. Is capable of catching the ball in-stride. Changes directions well, shows burst and quickness after the catch. He is shifty and shows the ability to make defenders miss in space. Defensively, Drew shows the quick feet and fluid hips to mirror receivers off the line and in and out of their breaks. Can step up and be physical in press coverage and demonstrates excellent technique in man-to-man. Takes away inside leverage, turns and rides a receiver’s hip with his outside hand, and plays the ball with his play-side hand. Shows excellent positioning between the ball and his man. Turns into a receiver when the ball is in the air. Displays good range and closing speed in zone schemes when breaking on balls thrown underneath. Has the burst to get under the deep throw. Provides strong run support. Can beat the stalk block with his long arms and strength or slip it with good quickness. Shows good ability to get over trash. We feel Drew is an instinctive football player who can be explosive and possesses change-of-direction skills. He has next level talent on both sides of the ball which makes him very attractive.
