Cory is an athletic and versatile big man with good potential on both sides of the ball as he can play at both DT or on the O-line. He might be best utilized as a center, but displays the versatility to line-up anywhere along the offensive line and be very good. He possesses very good size at this stage, especially for a center, and carries his weight well on his long frame with very good upper and lower body strength. He gets the ball back quickly and accurately — he does also have experience working with the quarterback under center. He displays very good flexibility. He looks comfortable working with a defender lined up over him. He is capable of snapping the ball and firing out low, gaining leverage and driving defenders off the ball. Cory consistently creates the push needed and displays the quickness and alertness to adjust to movement and handle sudden changes in direction. He is a very agile big man who excels playing on his feet in space. He does a very good job of being able to snap and pull and quickly gets out in front and locates targets. He can get a hat on active second level defenders with crushing results and is able to maintain balance and stay on his feet. Does a good job of climbing to second level and takes good angles. He plays with good effort and toughness and will try to punish defenders when he can. Cory displays the tools to be very productive in pass protection. Displays the hand quickness and power to jolt rushers with his punch. Displays the foot quickness and flexibility to bend and mirror rushers, and the size to be able to anchor and slow power rushers. Also displays excellent out-of-box ability. He is a good defensive tackle who has a quick first step. Plays with good pad level and very good strength and can separate and shed from blockers. Cory is a talented big man who could help a team in a multiple ways in the trenches, but shows excellent ability and upside as an O-lineman, especially at center.
