SCOUTING REPORT
Ismael possesses very good height with a solid frame that will only get bigger. Displays good pocket mobility for a dropback passer. Keeps his feet alive and avoids the rush within the pocket. He sees the field well, works through his progressions quickly and wastes little time finding the next option. He does not force many throws or take risks with the ball, and is rarely late. Shows pre-snap recognition of where to go with ball. Ismael hangs in the pocket to deliver the throw and does not need his lower body to make tough throws under duress. Keeps his eyes downfield and maintains a ready throwing position at all times in the pocket. He does an excellent job of staying balanced at the top of his drop and as he goes through his progression. He rarely gets caught with his feet planted so he is always able to get the ball out quickly. He has a smooth release that can be as quick as needed. He does a very good job of finding the throwing lane and getting the ball out. Has a nice short stride to keep his long frame compact on delivery. He displays very good arm strength and has the ability to make all the throws at the next level. Very accurate passer who shows accuracy both with touch passes and when he is forced to drive the ball into tight spaces. Throws a very catchable ball and does a good job of putting the ball where the receiver can catch and run. Can play under the center or out of the shotgun. Ismael does show a good feel for play action fakes within his system. He's a dropback passer, but not a statue and shows enough athletic ability to be a running threat at the high school level and sneaky pocket movement to buy time at the next level. Ismael will be highly coveted at the college level and is one of the better players in this class.
